Monitoring of the Achievement of the Health-Related Milleninum Development Goals

With only five years remaining to 2015, there are signs of progress toward the achievement of the health-related Millennium Development Goals in many countries. In others, progress has been limited because of conflict, poor governance, economic or humanitarian crises, and lack of resources. The effect of the global food, energy, financial and economic crises on health is still unfolding, but action is needed to protect health spending by governments and donors alike.
